There it is again, the nightly concert of coyotes. I do not know, but I think it no other species on earth is that makes so much noise. Monkeys can for example make a lot of noise, but then only when excitement prevails in the group briefly. The Coyotes sign up so the whole night, sometimes more, sometimes less, sometimes deafening. The pitch sounds as if you walk a dog on the tail. Barking, giggle, laugh, whine and howl, the range is very diverse. Here in Tucson there is the further that the numerous dogs to counter with their barking, even if one or the other dog is not so very well is probably given the full force and close to the coyotes seem to be in his shoes.
Old Tucson - where the spirit of the old and the Wild West is still alive. Old Tucson is a mix of the film set and theme park. Since 1939, over 300 westerns were filmed. John Wayne, Clint Eastwood, Elizabeth Taylor, Kurt Russell and other famous actor ran through these streets and played classics like "Rio Bravo" and "McLintock" and in more modern films such as "The Three Amigos" or "Tombstone" with. The television series "High Chapperal" was also filmed there. Different, constantly running shows depict life in the wild west with stunt shows, weapons centre commercial la defense duels, the hawkers, sheriffs and of course the saloon life. Everywhere you can be there or even participate.
The city of Tucson centre commercial la defense itself is enclosed in a valley of mountains. When driving, we have discovered some old houses, but a real old town it does not seem to give. Many houses, mostly small shops, galleries and shops shine with bright colors. In most cases, however, Tucson is a fairly modern image. What has surprised us at the most is that there is a Anklam centre commercial la defense Road. Klaus comes from Anklam, the GDR gateway to the island of Usedom in the holiday season.
At the last moment I have not found an advertisement for the Sabino Canyon in the northeast of Tucson, has made us curious. We wanted to see and we sure were not disappointed. The canyon can be well versed on numerous trails, or cruise the parking orbit. We decided that a good 4 mile stretch to drive with the parking orbit into the canyon and walk back. On the way up we saw that there are some very beautiful places in the Canyon that are worth to be hiked.
Actually, the whole canyon is special. At the bottom of the canyon is the river bed in which at this season only exist puddles. In the monsoon season of July and August here rushing water masses wallow centre commercial la defense in the valley. One of the flash flooding has destroyed 80% of all trees standing in the way, has been told. Right and left to rise steep cliffs with precipitous rock on terminations. The highest peak of the park, the Thimble Peak is over 1700 meters high and is visible from many locations. The most interesting thing about the canyon is its vegetation. At the base of willows and sycamores, then claim back the desert plants including the stunning saguaro cacti.
On animals, we have a canyon wren, looks seen how our dippers, a kind of large swallow, a canyon tree frog and a beautifully decorated with green and red stripes lined, long slender snake. In the figurehead ends at the visitor center list a visitor has registered yesterday, has seen early at 9.30 clock a cougar. Too bad, because we were probably a bit too late, but on our findings we were happy.
At the stop of the 7 train comes in the rainy season a large waterfall from the mountains. At its foot are huge, round polished and provided with beautiful grain granite stones. This was a camp of Hohocam Indians hundreds of years ago. Round depressions in the rocks testify to their presence. The depressions formed when they zermahlten different things with the help of a second stone. Since they had picked a beautiful place that offered them everything centre commercial la defense they needed. centre commercial la defense Apparently there is a source, because it constantly comes a small trickle of fresh spring water from the rocks and the basin is also filled this season with fresh water.
We paid another visit to the Pima Air & Space Museum. We had planned to visit the largest airplane graveyard in the world, but can only be viewed with an extra contribution by bus tour. At over 10 km are all junked military aircraft and missiles, the United States, but also a few airliners. The dry desert climate may harm them little. They are preserved, cannibalized for spare parts production or destroyed. In the vast museum then land some interesting pieces, which is now an impressive collection
